Solid Italian restaurant that's been a Newport staple for years. Specializing in seafood (see Newport) oriented dishes, Sapori has great pastas and all the Italian essentials as well

So authentic you'd swear you were in Italy! – I have been dining at Sapori for many years and can not say enough good things about it. Whether it is the attentive waitstaff and hostess, the wonderful food and wine list, or the amicable proprieter, Sal, Sapori is always a wonderful dining experience. Their patio is our favorite in Orange County and perfect for date nights or when my husband and I take our kids out to dinner. Great Authentic Italian Cuisine – I was visiting from back east and friends took me to Sapori for dinner. I didn't expect to find such a gem in a strip mall in Orange County. The patio, with it's beautiful fireplace, has the feel of a Tuscan villa and the food and service were amazing! They made me feel as if I were in Italy. I had a veal chop that was cooked to perfection served in a sauce with porcini mushrooms. Be sure to CONTRACT if doing a function. – Sapori has always been a staple in convenient Newport Beach dining. However, when called upon to handle a private function, they utterly failed, by which we did not expect.. 1. Menu items promised were not delivered. 2.
