I'll admit I was hesitant to go into the ER after reading some of the reviews here, but my pain abdominal pain was so severe I didn't think I could make it anywhere else and I am so glad I came here. I was treated promptly. My pain was addressed, labs were done and a CT performed all very quickly. Dr Donnali (sp?) was so thorough and took time to really listen to me. Now my girlfriend cant get help because we have gone back and forth with these people not helping with services!!! And the fact that we dont have an open health plan there are 5 loops to go through to get help. This is not okay!!!! And its an emergency!!!! Yes the hospital helped but the fact that we have to wait to see a primary Dr!!!!!!!!

I brought my husband here after visiting urgent care. He didn't see the doctor for the three hours he laid in their bed. While waiting, I got to hear the nurses discuss the champagne flavored cake in the back (could hear them eating it too), mock a patient whose child was sick, complain about how doing compressions on a patient made them gag because the patient threw up. santiam hospital felt more like an urgent care than an ER in all the best ways. the triage rooms have a bed instead of a chair, and there’s a real door along with a curtain that makes you feel more protected and enclosed in a safe space. all of the staff i encountered were endlessly patient, friendly, and accommodating, and made me feel very comfortable despite autism making most doctor experiences extremely stressful and exhausting. they were accommodating when i had to get my blood drawn from my hand due to a needle phobia... read more
