This review is for Santander the bank, it's policies and restrictions - NOT the employees that work at branches. Compared to other banks, Santander drastically limits your ability to transfer YOUR OWN MONEY to accounts within the bank, or to accounts outside of the bank. They are restrictive to a point of it being ridiculous. When using your online account, they tell you that your transfer amount "exceeds the limit" (a very low limit), but won't tell you what that limit is. Completely frustrated. Walked into Santander Weymouth Friday. I told the manager my father had passed away and we needed to cash in the CD to pay his bills. My name is on the account as well. She told me I had to go back Wednesday (not sure why). I went in today and she told me it would be 60 days to get money. I told her that is not what she told me Friday? I tried to call the bank and Derek picked up the phone, I asked for Sylvia but she was busy, and he asked me what did I want, I wanted a swift code and an address for a foreign wire transfer, he put me on hold for 29 minutes so I hung up and there after I called 2 dozen times and each time it Rand more than 50 times and then it hangs up, worst customer service this branch has each time.
Horrible customer service
It's been about four times that I make a deposit of check from Company on my account and takes over weeks to amount to be available in my account. I even had to call the company who issue the check to see if is there anything wrong with check, but they let me know that the amount was taking from they account on next day after I make deposit.
