This methadone clinic appears to prioritize long-term client retention, often recommending high doses. I was prescribed 60mg, which caused drowsiness. When I declined a counselor's advice to increase my dose – a recommendation that exceeded their professional scope – I was subsequently banned. Furthermore, the 60mg daily dose posed a significant risk of overdose.
This place is amazing if you're willing to stay clean. I've been to another clinic In town when I first moved to Santa Rosa from Oakland. The people at the first clinic I went to were very condescending and less than helpful. When I switched over to SRTP I have been treated respectfully by 99% of the staff. Switching clinics to this one was one of the better decisions I've made since I moved to Santa Rosa. I am so happy to say this place works if you’re willing to get clean. I wouldn’t be where I am today if wasn’t for the wonderful staff and counselors. This place can save your life from the mistakes we make. I seriously cannot begin to describe how happy I am with this place and how grateful I am. If you are really thinking about making a change in your life and stay away from addiction, then this is the place. Forget about any stigma and fears you may have, sobriety shouldn’t be stigmatized and to not be feared.
