Beware of Santa Monica Nissan User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars by 350z 12/15/2009 I go to the dealership out of convenience. While routine service is acceptable, their troubleshooting and problem solving are sub-standard. I LOVE MY CAR!!! You people should go here. I'm so happy with my new car. They got me good financing and were nice to me and my family. Nobody was right on top of us. I never thought I could have a car this nice and afford it this easy. The guys were fun. THANK YOU SANTA MONICA NISSAN!!!

I'm happy! Good job everyone. I bought my Maxima here and it is a great car. And the people were especially nice. Darin really helped me with buying and Anthony made me feel comfortable. I've come back for some installations and the service is smooth too. This is the first time I have ever felt this good buying a car and I am telling everyone I know- this is the place to go.

Beware, this is a ripoff operation. We were ripped off for $1,500 in repairs when there was a factory service bulletin that would have fixed the problem for $100. When we found out about the bulletin we went back to the dealer and they said too bad. We also contacted Nissan Corporate and they said that the dealers are free to do what they please. No Integrity, No Corporate accountability. I would not go there to put air in my tires. Be warned and stay away.

Don't Use Santa Monica Nissan Twice I have received estimates from this dealership that were hundreds of dollars over what I eventually paid to have the car repaired elsewhere. Once was for a leak which they assured me would cost over $1000 and another to replace a headlight bulb for $160. Both the leak repair and bulb replacement cost me less than $150 at a certified Nissan repair shop nearby.

Feel like you're getting screwed? You are. I took my pathfinder in for an oil change. They recommended $1,500 worth of repairs. Including: Cracked rear upper link, bad belts, leaking oil switch.

Service department Poor workmanship. I brought my car in to replace a window seal that wasn't flush. The technician who checked in my car told me I had a defective part, and that they would order it for me. After a short wait, I was notified that the part came in, and dropped my car off. They called back saying they ordered the wrong part, but fixed the seal anyway. When I checked their work, the original seal was just shoved in and taped down. Terrible experience and a waste of time.

These guys are fine if you want to get your car fixed quickly. Here's my issue - and I suspect it is an issue with most dealer service departments. It seems like everytime I bring my car in for an oil change they call me up and tell me I could use $400 worth of other services. And of course it's impossible to know if you really need them or not. My strategy is to use them for an oil change and get them to tell me what else they think is wrong then go to the cheaper independent mechanic to have him tell me what I really need ... read more
