We traveled from out of state to attend this annual event. Lots of food and wine vendors to sample. They did let us in prior to the starting time of noon. We appreciated the lanyard that holds the wine glass. It rained, which put a damper on the event, no fault of the organizers. Lots of poseurs who buy cowboy boots and hats for this event, never to wear them again. Many people congregate and talk around the food tables while you're waiting in line to get a morsel of food, which makes the area congested. Could have included ... read more

The fest is held at the Fort Macy community centre/gym. I felt like there was a lot of missing information.

Parking for this event was woefully inadequate. I was told by security that I could park on the Old Taos Highway. There were no "no parking signs where I parked in a line of cars parked on the diagonal. I got a ticket. Many of the security people were rude and unhelpful though not all, when I asked which way to go and where I could park. There was not enough parking at the cathedral. I am a part time resident and every year we invite friends to join us at Wine and Chile. This year was no different as we had friends in from Napa. The food was all very good. The wines too with one exception. We all skipped over the two wine hosts; Tattinger and Cakebread at the beginning as the lines were long which was expected. But when we went back both were out of wine. EXTREMELY disappointing. There was still an hour left to the event. The other part that wasn’t great was the lack of chairs to sit between tents.
