I may've been coming to this store from Lansing since it opened. The Saugatuck-Douglas area itself was already a touchstone for me since my childhood, but the store came into being just as I was discovering my own dreams of our American southwest too -- and I could see how the Santa Fe Trading Company was nailing that region's spirit and cultural themes, no doubt owing to its owners' own connections to it. I’ve been at Santa Fe Trading Company more times than I can count — it’s definitely my favorite store in Saugatuck!! I’ve purchased everything from T-shirts and shoes to drums and flutes to recorded music to jewelry to greeting cards and more. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I’d give them more than five stars if it would be possible.

I love this store! It is always my first stop when shopping in Saugatuck. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They remember my name even though I only visit once a year. And the cats have been a delightful feature for years!
