This place is a gem in Santa Barbara! Many of the art glass pieces in the store and the studio are so beautiful it's like visiting a small art museum! The art glass making class was fun and was a unique experience! The instructor was very patient, very nice and super helpful! We were very happy with the product we made! I highly recommend this studio!
We had so much fun learning how to do glassblowing and actually getting to do it. We made paper weights and cups for our first time. Then the owner showed us around his studio and we got to see his artwork. We would definitely love to come back for more classes!
A hidden gem for anyone looking for a creative and artsy use of their time. Small local family owned business have been in the area for 35 years. They are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The class was informative and well structured giving me the confidence to try a more complicated piece without any prior glass Blowing knowledge. This was truly such a wonderful experience I recommend everyone try it atleast once.
This glass blowing tour exceeded every expectation. Saul, the owner, gave us his complete, undivided attention throughout — truly a one-on-one experience that felt personal and special from start to finish. Over the course of 1.5 hours, he walked us through the art of crafting a marlin out of molten glass, explaining every detail of his process with patience and enthusiasm. Did a couples glass blowing class with my wife. It was really interesting. It’s a LOT harder than it looks - the glass is always changing how soft it is, and you’re taking it out, putting it back into the glory hole furnace, taking it out. Always turning it to keep it from sagging or folding. It’s pretty amazing, though. And Saul has tons of other stuff he’s done around the shop. Lamps, architectural pieces, vases, etc.
