I paid $37 for a plate of spaghetti pomodoro. While the pasta itself was good, the sauce was terrible and tasted like a frozen spaghetti meal. Did not come with any fresh basil which is in the name of the dish. Also did not come with a side of parm cheese even though I ordered the dish to pickup and asked at pickup if it was in there. There was nobody in the restaurant when I picked up the food.
Sant Ambroeus keeps its high level everywhere. This is a great high end Italian restaurant / cafe chain. This time came for brunch, which actually offers a surprisingly much more affordable menu. Normal main dishes on the menu start from around $35 but most brunch dishes are around $20. Pretty good deal. The Benedict with salmon was simple but great and the tuna salad (which is on the regular menu) is pretty good as well. Overall good experience in the Southampton branch of Sant ambroeus.
Celebrated my recent birthday dinner on Christmas Eve 2025. Dining room was full at 5:30. Food and service were excellent. Seating among patrons is close.
