I had a frustrating experience with the service department. Had a issue with a fuse that would continually trip.. deactivating the rear view camera and some other minor systems. The error on the dash pointed to a issue with the head light assembly.. Over a 1 month period I took the car back and forth for the same issue. Service Department kept checking the wiring and resetting the alert. I finally did my own research on the issue and explain to them it was a motor in the headlight assembly. Take a look at this photo of the scare tactic used. Analyze this picture and notice the actual radiator is almost perfect with a drop of coolant. Look at the close-up picture of the coolant overflow bottle the bottle is plastic and has ridges if you look close you even see on the bottle that there is a L/F level indicator. This cracked up distorted picture of the coolant bottle was used to make a really bad service scam recommendation. This overflow bottle makes it look drastic. We had an extremely frustrating experience with Modern Hyundai of Concord, from service to sales. My daughter (a college student) had her 2017 Hyundai Sonata towed in right before Christmas. Her Sonata is one of the vehicles affected by Hyundai’s engine/paint issues, and we were trying to find out if the engine problem would be covered under the extended warranty. Brought my 85 year old mom's car for an oil change. Took over 2 hours wanted to do extra services for almost 2 thousand dollars went we declined they called my mom to talk her into spending her money. When she said yes we over rode her decision
I would not consider purchasing a vehicle from this dealership again. I purchased a vehicle in mid-November through my credit union's Autoland service. At the time of purchase, the front windshield was cracked, and I was assured that this issue would be documented on the due bill and resolved without concern. I have to say that I had a great overall experience buying a car from Eckert Hyundai. I am from the Houston area and spotted a car they had available online and I reached out to Tong Hung, the salesman assigned to the vehicle I wanted to purchase. Great experience in sales and later also in service. However, unfortunately, Caveat Emptor and let the buyer beware when it comes to the finance dept. I am sure everyone has gone through the experience of being completely worn out after days of shopping for the right vehicle, going from dealership to dealership. At So.
