I recall having a decent dining experience with San Sai in San Diego many years ago. Recently I tried this place in Pasadena. Definitely not as I remembered. First of all, part of the place looks like a grocery store with about 2 row of Korean junkfood before you get to the counter to order the food. That should be a red flag but I ignored it. The service needs more attention to comply customer request, instead of bringing out the restaurant policy.
Recently discovered on door dash and have ordered twice on the app. I have tried the steak plate, spicy chicken bowl and veggie tempura. All delicious! I’d definitely order again. The veggie tempura had big pieces and a yummy sauce. The steak was tender and made to perfection. The spicy chicken also had good flavor. I look forward to visiting in person and trying other items
