While Dr. Patel might be a fine doctor, he has consistently cancelled appointments (one of them 25 minutes before the scheduled appointment having driven over 2 hours to get to his office.) Another the day before. Multiple urgent phone calls (6 in one day) not returned. Look elsewhere. He is obviously leaving the practice. UPDATE: The practice responded that they cannot comment on this forum because of privacy. And to call Patient Relations. Believe me I did call and filed a formal complaint. My prior doctor didn't follow up or get messages when I was very ill and I received a cavalier attitude when I discussed my concerns. Dr. Patel came on and I decided to try him and was I blessed. He listens - truly listens. He finds the appropriate specialty doctors for my health issues and has his nurse check in on my progress. He keeps a list of things I need to do and encourages me to keep up with my progress. I would add zero stars if I could. He is moving out of CT so he has been blowing off appointments left and right. We have been rescheduled several times because he keeps calling out. This guy doesn't really care.
Exceptional doctor. Remarkable bedside manners. Kind and caring. Extremely knowledgeable. Superb clinician who thinks of the whole picture and is dedicated and ready to help even for challenging cases.
