As someone who utilized the health department for many reasons, I will say this. Immunizations good, ease of getting birth control good. BUT you need to advocate for yourself with some of the staff. Also, follow up on ALL tests yourself, don't wait for them to call and 'no news is probably good news' isn't something that should be told to clients. Last year, they had referred me to get an ultrasound. No follow up call was made (by both myself or the health department). 7 months later, I'm dragging myself to the ER and end up... read more
