The best diabetic doctor.
The worst experience at a doctors appointment that I have ever had. She was dismissive, did not know why I was there despite getting a referral from my pcp. She didn’t have my labs from my pcp and blamed my pcp for not sending them (which I know they sent them because the receptionist I spoke to when booking said she had them. She seemed offended that I was not married and did not have children and blamed my birth control for all of my problems as well as my diet (which I’ve been following my dietician’s recommendations). I never give bad reviews but I am sorry to say that I would not recommend her at all. She is so abrasive, almost to the point of being rude. She wouldn't give me meds I need for my bone issues, and seemed combative about it. But the biggest issue was she then unforgivably, incorrectly prescribed my emergency meds, which would have been fatal if I had a crisis on my last trip overseas. It was a deadly mistake and I have lost all trust in her office.
I would sincerely NOT recommend visiting Dr. Punjabi as your endocrinologist. It seems like every time I need something from her, she always has some sort of push back to give. It doesn't seem to matter what situation either; when I was about to run out of insulin I had to fight with her for it, and now that I'm leaving her care I still have to fight for a prescription of enough insulin to last me until I find a new endocrinologist.
