I’ve been seeing Sangeeta for almost 2 years, during the latter half of college and into my early adult years. She is a great therapist who has helped me grow my self esteem and work on my codependency and boundaries. Many of these negative reviews mention finances- of course a therapist needs to make boundaries clear regarding finances and payment. It is her job. I think most bad reviews on this page are for a reason. Overall, Sangeeta insisted that I decide with her and kept pressing me to do that before she even gave me 1 slot. She kept asking me if I am seeing other therapists and insisted that I decide on one, it’s hard to know if a therapist works for you without seeing them at least a couple of times. I’ve been with Sangeeta for over a year and 8 months. My experience has been truly incredible and I will continue to go to her for the foreseeable future. Since my time with her, I have seen a major improvement in my self-esteem, confidence and overall happiness. She has patience with me and has a lot of compassion. The other reviews mention the financial aspect of Sangeeta. I don’t think those individuals made it past the first meeting. I feel bad about a strong bad review, but for people who are already struggling from depression, they should not have to go through such an experience. Therapy is good. She made me feel bad about taking that session. I have to tell you that she is horrible at listening. I don't know how she is allowed to be a therapist. The negative reviews seem to be off of a handful of sessions. Like most visits to a healthcare professional, she asks for the co-pay first and has to go through insurance first during the intake session, but during sessions I've found her to be very helpful and effective.

I don't agree with the negative reviews and comments. They are rude and not well thought out. I've been going to Sangeeta for over two years and she is a good listener. She does stop the conversation to interject and give her thoughts but isn't that her job? Also on the insurance front, I've never had issues with her. Yes, I need to pay on a timely manner but that is a reasonable expectation. I recommend her as a therapist. End of the day, she needs to do her job. And she does it effectively.

She is not a good listener and cares more about the money. In the session she keeps worrying about the time and keeps looking at the watch.

I wanted to have a therapy session with her but when she called me for an initial 15 min interview, she sounded like she only cares about her getting paid. Most of the the time in that 15min conversation was is my insurance covering, how much is my copay, am I okay paying my copay, cancellation won't be covered by insurance, if insurance doesn't pay in 30 days I'd have to pay etc. I definitely didn't feel like she wants to help me out so I didn't schedule the appointment.
