The security guards in this building are very rude and not helpful. I was inquiring about vaccines for an upcoming trip abroad and was referred by the lady in the health department to SIU. On the outside of the building there is a sign that says SIU and I went back inside to go talk to them . The security guards kept telling me to go back into the health department. I kept trying to tell them I had already been in there and that the lady had referred me to SIU and that was what I was looking for. They started to get an attit... read more

How can the local pharmacies get, have & offer the new flu & covid vaccines for the 2024 season BEFORE the "Public Health Department" and they can't even tell you when they'll have them?!!
I'm a healthcare provider. I called the SCHD for guidance regarding a patient with tuberculosis. The receptionist asked several questions before transferring me to voicemail. I left detailed information stating I was looking for guidance not protected patient information. Never got a response. Very unprofessional.
