I had direct access hormone testing done at this laboratory. Given the results I received which are not physiological possible in women, I believe my blood was mixed up with the gentlemen who was drawn immediately before me. The result in question was 10x higher than what is normal for a woman. A manager in Sioux Falls told me to go back and get redrawn but Rapid City refused because the manager had gone home for the day and didn't want to deal with it. I had a wonderful experience here after a horrible experience with a Monument phlebotomist. The Sanford team was organized and new immediately what the blood draw orders meant. I waited less than 5 minutes to get into the blood draw room. The phlebotomist found my vein immediately and even though it was a very small vein, she took her time drawing a lot of blood so that it wouldn't be painful or bruise. The cost for the blood draw was not expensive and she even said they'd take care of shipping it to the lab across the count... read more

SELF PAY CUSTOMERS BE AWARE: I was referred for labs. Nobody asked to collect any money upfront. I was sent a bill of which I paid HALF of it expecting to pay the other half next month. However, I got a collections notice a few months later. I paid that balance in FULL only to get another collections letter a couple of months later for the same date and service!! To avoid being in collections I paid that one as well IN FULL, and now I believe I overpaid and Sanford couldn’t figure it out. Let alone get a phone call transferr... read more
