(August 2020) My former spouse and I stayed a week at Sandy Bar Ranch and, despite some smoke during the first few days (far less than most of California and Oregon, and we had more blue skies than not!), it was a beautiful and unforgettable week. I've been visiting Sandy Bar since the early 80's! The transition from Laverne to Blyth and et al was seamless and any concerns I might have had about the change disappeared quickly. Real people are obvious, interesting and usually artistic. When you add that to the River, the cabins and the aroma of a fall season, (my choice to visit) you remember in the early moments of arrival the tough time you had leaving...
