Im pretty disappointed in this place. I feel like they lied to me at intake. I made it very clear that my son needed a mental health diagnosis and treatment first and foremost, alcohol abuse was a byproduct of whatever mental health issues he has. They said all the right things and agreed, took my money, then put him on general anxiety meds and didnt do anything for his mental health. I talked to them after treatment was done and they said they would call my wife to discuss. No call back after a month.

Experience was ok. After entering a different IOP and PHP in Boulder, I can say the experience at Sandstone was poor in comparison. Disorganized, poor attention to HIPPA, and quality of meeting at Sandstone was awful. The meetings were mostly irrelevant to teenagers. Would not return.

my kid made 0 progress in the PHP program. She was there for a month and learned no skills and we had no communication from the team.

This place is absolutely awful. My mother developed a severe bed sore while staying here — it got so bad that the infection spread to her bone. The level of neglect and unprofessionalism was shocking. The staff constantly complained about being understaffed, and it was obvious that residents were not getting the care they needed or deserved. While I was a little hesitant getting into treatment like most, the staff at sandstone were extremely patient and caring throughout the whole process. I attended and completed the dual diagnosis iop program while in treatment the staff at sandstone did an amazing job to make me feel welcome and comfortable and addressed and concerns quickly and effectively.
