The experience with this doctor and this practice is the worst experience I have ever had. They cancelled on me twice. I had tried to get an appointment since July and the soonest they had was November. After rearranging travel plans they cancelled and expected me to wait till January. Ridiculous!!!
I was referred to this office by my health care provider. The receptionist made me feel like I was somehow sub human for having the issue I am having. She was not even aware Dr. Valaitis could handle my issue and told me she never heard of a problem like mine. She treated me like I was beneath her. I hung up the call feeling discriminated against. She explained everything to me and made helpful recommendations. I enjoyed her bedside manners and tmi her exam did not hurt.. which it usually does with others and for me that is a huge plus.
Worst practice. Stay away from Dr. Iyers and Dr. Valaitis unless you want to end up in ER or be treated rudely. I forgot that Drs had compassion, not this group. Honestly for your own safety I wouldn’t recommend this office. Total misdiagnosis and caused way more issues. Dr. Iyer is not a competent Dr. I’m surprised she’s affiliated with Univ of Chicago. I thought they took the best. Apparently not.
Very competent and sympathetic. Took care of my problem and I'm a new woman.
