As a doula I primarily work with mamas because they want autonomy when giving birth; and that can be difficult in a hospital setting. However I was serving a mama who had three previous traumatic birth stories (a history of preeclampsia and multiple interventions), and she was hoping for a different outcome this time. Highly recommend her as she takes initiative to listen to her patients needs and crafts a personalized plan of care to address the patient’s needs.
