So. I read all the previous reviews.Racist.I would not say they are.Judgemental yes.They do gossip about everyone.When i say they i do no mean sandra.Raquel yes.Friendly.They are not.They are friendly and welcoming to those who they know.If you walk in and expect to get 5 star customer service with optimal smiles and friendliness that is not what you will get if they do not know you and if you do not have a personal client or other relationship with them.I have been going to this salon for 10 years as well.Not weekly but onl... read more

Hair color correction. I have been coloring my hair black for years and it became too black. I have been wanting to lighten it for years. I went to an expensive Manhattan salon figuring they must be able to do something for me without using bleach and without damaging my hair. I was told it would between $240 and $350 just to do strip the black off my hair and then additional charge to put color back. In the city everything is a separate charge. I have been going to Sandra for over 10 years, at first weekly now only in emergencies - when know one else is available. Do not go to this salon and expect professionalism - talks all day with vendors, boyfriends, phones, family members stopping by, etc...... This is not a salon where you can be in and out expect at least 4 hours of waiting. Its true. I agree with the racist statement from the above post. I've been going to Sandra's for more than 10 years. I love how they do my hair and never had any complaints about any of the employees. This is the place to go in the Bronx. In terms of them being racist I really don't understand where the above comment came from.

Sandra always knows what to do with my hair!! if you go to a DOMINICAN BEAUTY SALON,what do you expect them to speak,Chinese? If you dont like it here,go some place...one thing only,aint nobody gonna do your hair like Sandra does it!!!

sandra does hair good for african americans but alot of her workers are racist guess she is too. guess racism is here to stay. as long as she does my hair good I can less about what they say in spanish, i understand it as well but dont entertain ignorance. maybe one day I will record the comments or I will have some of my hispanic friends do it. shame shame shame...get money people and leave the nonsense behind.
