I have had 2 homes built by Sandlin. I sure wish the second home would have been our 1st because there would never have been a second one. The quality of this home is the worse home we have EVER had. That includes our little 740 sq ft home 40 years ago. Cabinets are falling apart, windows leak something terrible, texture is falling off the walls, the HVAC isn’t functioning correctly throughout the home. Cold rooms when other rooms are hot. let’s just call it for what it is, a cheap built we’re all over paying for. lived in our Sandlin home for over a year now, this house is only a year old, there’s already stress crackers throughout the outside bricks, garage walls, garage floor, and inside walls, “the house is settling” as they told us and that’s part of it, maintenance/warranty doesn’t take care of it. what does the warranty cover ? not much. place a warranty request in, you have to keep calling and requesting over and over again for any work to be done. Run far from this company. And choose Bloomfield. This is a company that cuts corners. Their build is less than average quality. I've been in my house for over a year and still have 8 warranty requests open. They'll give you the run around. Then send a DIY'er out to try and fix the issue. The home itself is a cheap build. We had alot of cold air coming from out kitchen vent in the winter. We complained and they stated it was normal. 6" of the vent was pure tape trying to connect vent piping. nice floor plan, love the area. warranty service / department lacks so much. putting in request months in advance, even calling for updates, still can’t get all request repaired. Kitchen cabinets are horrible. Dining room light fixture is wrong color and installed incorrectly. While every Sandlin Homes new build have correct angle on light fixture and placement of air vents ours isn’t. They refuse to repair it correctly.
