Attention Hikers, get your gear and come on over to Blanford-Chester State Forest where you can either hike at Sanderson Brook Falls entrance or the Blanford-Chester State Forest entrance. Plenty of parking and welcome to leashed pets.
Great place for all ages, with a flat trail that's a gravel road, 3 bridges that run over the creek leading up to the falls, including doggy footbridges that were recently installed since 2 of the bridges are grated and aren't ideal for dogs. So that's a plus this was added. The falls themselves are remarkable & beautiful... consisting of a horsetail, and numerous cascades. Gorgeous area to walk and hike. Lots of uphill so I didn't get to see the waterfall lol. But there is plenty of little areas to catch ur breath with picnic tables. Lots of geocaches too;). Very fun place for a nice fall afternoon walk
Nice hike, very doable even with pretty young kids.
A very doable trail that is well traveled. Only encountered one couple with their dog off leash but it head good recall.
