My husband has been dealing with a serious issue for a while now. When he went to the ER, they couldn't figure out what was wrong. He got a referral to Dr. Binderow, but VA Healthcare made us jump through a lot of hoops to get it approved. His PCP insisted my husband go to the VA ER first, then wait weeks for a follow-up appointment that turned out to be a 5 minute phone call that lasted all of 5 minutes. Wow!!! If I would have came to the reviews first, I probably would’ve decided against going to him. Let’s just say after dealing with my GASTROENTEROLOGIST for about a year. Did banding and all. Her last words to me was “I’ve never seen anything like this”. I was in so much pain I was loosing my mind! I got referred to Dr Benderow and things changed immediately! Terrible. Does not take the time to understand his patient’s challenges. Would avoid this doctor at all costs.

Thank god I’m not the only one who feels like he’s not a good doctor as it relates to human interaction . Very poor communicator, fast talking New Yorker who doesn’t let you get a word in and makes you forget what you came for. I went to him twice. The first time he fixed my hemorrhoids and a fistula. The second time we thought it was the same thing but it ended up being cancerous as well. I did prolong the follow up, because I didn’t want to deal with him again.
