Found my husband's stomach cancer which we were thankful for, but when the going got tough and he needed to be on tpn (nourishment via IV) he was dropped like a lead balloon. The GI was supposed to monitor bloodwork, and approve tpn orders weekly. The monitoring was not done resulting in septic shock.
