I'm so happy I found this place! Dr. Milligan and his staff were so friendly. As a student at Texas State I was extremely worried about finding a local dentist that could see me right away, as I was experiencing pain from one of my wisdom teeth. Dr. Milligan was able to see me and extract the tooth all within the same day. This was by far the best dentist experience I have ever had!
My family, (Biological Grandmother, Biological Mom and myself), have thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Milligan at San Marcos Family dentistry for over 2 decades. I've never had a problem with my teeth thanks to his recommended care. I have had sealants on my four molars , wisdom teeth removed, never any cavities spotted or detected and super numerary adult teeth removed at the cost of a pallet surgery in the roof of my mouth in 2004. Dr. Milligan and his staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. Milligan explains everything he is about to do and puts you at ease. I love that he takes the time to call you at home to check on you if the procedure entailed more work than just a regular checkup. You won’t find all the glitz you may see at other big dental corporations, but I would rather have a dentist who owns his own business, cares for his patients, and is very personable. I like the hometown touch!
I visited earlier this week for a routine exam and Dr. Milligan suspected that I needed a root canal due to a lump inside of my mouth and based upon an x-ray. Dr. Milligan’s staff expedited my appointment to today due to a vacation that I have planned. Today, Dr. Milligan removed the lump first and then discovered that I did not need a root canal and that the tooth is still healthy. Was my 1st visit for a new insurance plan. Met the dentist at the end for 5 mintues. The hygienist was very friendly and did a great job on my cleaning. Other than that this place is weird. Weird location. $15 charge every visit not covered by insurance for supplies???
