Great place to take your pets for medical care When we had to put our dog to sleep recently, we went to the San Lorenzo Veterinary Hospital, on the corner of Hesperian and Hacienda, right next to Jack in the Box. The staff was incredibly friendly, compassionate, and helpful. The doctor was gentle with our dog during the inital exam, when we first found out he had cancer. And he thouroughly explained all of our options to us. When we finally decided to put him to sleep a month later, he talked over our decision with us, and w... read more

Very Expensive I took my hamster to the vet to get his nails trimmed mulitple times. The first few times, the doctor didnt charge me and then after about 2 times, they wanted to charge me 8.00 each time. Just for a trimming that is absoultly crazy. I have stopped going to them because that is very high.

Dr. Halbach is very caring! I brought my cat in for what I thought would just be boarding, but as it turned out, he (Buddy) needed serious, constant care. Everyone there took great care of Buddy during what turned out to be his last days with us. Dr. Halbach did everything he could to keep my cat alive. Even though it didn't turn out well for Buddy, I am extremely grateful for Dr. Halbach's care of our pets.

Dr. Halbach is an extremely skilled and caring vet Missy, my little aging Chihuahua, needed an operation for her slipped kneecap. The operation went splendidly, and Missy was soon running about at high speed like a pup again. (The operation, incidentally, cost about $500 less than the local vet in Half Moon Bay was asking.) Great staff, fine vet, fair price!

Dr. Holbach is a great vet!!! I have been going to SLZ Veterinarian Hospital for a long time and travel 200 miles just to take my pets to DR. HOLBACH. That must say something, for the professional service I receive and the love my pets receive. Dr. Holbach is the only vet who conquered my cocker spaniels ear problem, and took care of her cancer surgeries. He is a great, knowledgeable VET. I would never take my pets to any other veterinarian. No matter how many miles it takes for me to travel to this vet, I will remain one of... read more

Great Vet, Great Service, Great Ending When I took my 3 day old puppy in to Dr. Halbach on April 10, 2007, I was really amazed at the care I got. My little poodle puppy was fading and I really wondered if it would live or not. Her temperature was low and she apparently wasn't getting any nutrition from her mother. As soon as I walked in, I walked up to the front desk and showed them the tiny fading puppy in my hands, and the staff immediately went into action to save it! "We have a fading puppy here!" they called out. Then o... read more
