Just attended their board meeting with about 20 other ratepayers and members from surrounding water boards. Very sad dysfunctional group…main agenda item was to censure the sole woman board member for making a trifling mistake and other nonsensical accusations. Serious matters such as relations with other water districts and study for potential mergers were brushed off. Hoping for better behavior once the recently elected candidates are sworn in AND better board members elected in the next cycle.
I am positive we were overbilled our first two cycles - the water district can not explain WHY our bill and usage was so high, and after requesting help MULTIPLE times, our bill magically went down to a more normal usage rate. Staff said they had come out and our sprinklers were on in the Winter causing excessive usage - which was a lie, as our irrigation was all turned off and had been off all month- and I asked them to come when I was home (which they ignored).
