Around 9 years ago, this doctor gave me a sigmoidoscopy. He removed polyps and acted like it wasn't a big deal. He did not conduct any other tests in order to rule out other causes for my daily reoccurring chronic diarrhea. He made me feel like I was overreacting for what I was experiencing. He said, "That's life hun, many people have IBS and have to live with it." He then blamed me for continuing to consume dairy products even though I outright told him I was a vegan. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have bad ulcerative colitis and he did nothing for me but body shame me after my colonoscopy. See another GI doctor. He's behind the times and lets his own views/stereotypes get in the way of treating patients with the proper medicines available for UC. Was the sickest I have ever been with no help from Dr Samuels.
Dr. Samuels was one of the best doctors I ever worked with. Very caring and knowledgeable. I wish he hadn't retired!! Not sure the new doctor I get will be able to compare!
