I was disappointed with the service that I received today. I asked a young man (staff) where the leaf bags were. He simply pointed towards the front room by the entrance and did not say anything. I peered into the room and could not see them. Then he said “Over here” and brought me to a pile of sealed boxes, and opened them to reveal where they were. Whenever I think of Home Hardware, I associate the company with the homes I purchased since the houses were connected with the products, advice, knowledge and expertise of this veteran Canadian entity. For me, Home Hardware represented top notch customer service, a knowledgeable staff, customer advocacy, durable products and a community orientation, values and priorities that big box stores wouldn’t recognize let alone embrace.
