Get a contract, a "Written Warranty" . Sam is not an honest man, and his word is no good . Once Sam gets paid, he's gone, not returning . Sam did a decent job excavating, shaky plumbing work, and horrendous backfilling . He asked about taking dirt with him, I told him no, the dirt stays here . He stole it anyway . I called him a few days after he left, when the rain sank the back fill almost 2 feet, and he promised to bring the dirt back . I haven't heard from him since . Pros: They do good work and focus on the job. Cons: They are unprofessional and disorganized. Recommendation: For emergencies only. Expect incorrect invoices, late invoices, and hounding for payment/threats after 1-2 weeks of invoice receipt. They only accept cash (deliver to them).
