Today my son and I had pizza at the Elk River store. I’ve been enjoying Sammy’s since 1957 in St Cloud, when Sammy’s was located in an old building near the Stearns county courthouse. Booths in the old days were olive & mustard yellow in every Sammy’s that I went to back in the 60s & 79s. Well my son’s pizza was the standard “great” pizza. We were in the area and decided to pick something quick up for a late dinner. At 8:07 pm, I placed an order for bone-in wings and one 14” inch pizza. My estimated pickup time was 8:41 pm. Almost 40 minutes just for one pizza & some wings is crazy…considering they weren’t that busy. Pizza wasn’t the worst I’ve had but the chicken wings…ALL RAW inside…what a waist of $16! Never going back. Thanks for reading!
The service tonight was terrible. We arrived shortly before 5:00 p.m. on a Friday night. We were meeting with a group in the back but were not able to sit with the group and we were at a table of four. Although the main group had been served, no one came to take our drink orders and we finally flagged down a waitress at 5:30. The waitress told us that we should have made reservations, although the majority of the tables and booths in the back room were empty at the time. Our drinks finally arrived around 5:45.
