I have known Dr Sammons since I was 18, I trusted him for my colonoscopy.... He perforated my bowl and when I returned for the first checkup after the procedure. I explained that my guts were on fire from my rib cage to my pelvis, Dr Sammons explained that happens to some people, not unusual. I felt this way for almost 4 months, I lost 30 lbs When I saw Dr Nesbt, he did my second colonoscopy and ask about the first one....I gave the story above. Dr. Sammons, what can I say. He is wonderful. I have lived in the Athens area for 25 years. I have tried different drs but none were a good fit. My husband goes to him and when I had a health issue, he agreed to see me as a patient. He is caring, he listens to me and answers every question I have. I wish I had started with him years ago. The worse thing is I don't think he is taking any new patients.
