If there was a zero rating, I would rate this practice and Dr Patel a Zero. My daughter had a life threatening reaction to a medication prescribed by Dr Patel. She tried to contact him a week before the reaction as she started feeling the symptoms, had to leave a message and never got a return call. Following the life threatening reaction and almost 6 days in the hospital, she tried multiple times to notify him of this event and to discuss the medication. I have Parkinson's disease. Dr. Patel diagnosed it and he has provided excellent support - asks the right questions and responds respectfully. I highly recommend him.
I am seriously baffled by the few negative reviews of Dr. Patel. I recently saw him for the first time (also first time ever seeing a neurologist) and I thought it was a fantastic experience (as fantastic as having to see a neurologist can be). I can't imagine it being any better, in fact. Dr. Patel was friendly, knowledgeable, charismatic, kind, and professional. He took so much time discussing my symptoms and case that I found MYSELF looking at my watch! Highly recommend. His staff was also very courteous and professional.
Dr. Patel spent an HOUR with my husband and I discussing his rare condition. He would give us information and then say "Okay, I'm going to stop talking and let you take notes and let that sink in." Then after a few minutes he'd say "Okay, any questions?" and then continue with the information. He was SO kind, patient, and understanding of each and every question we had. HORRIBLE experience. ZERO stars. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. I had a concussion from a serious fall, which he insisted was migraine headaches. Spoke down to me, even put wrong information in my record ie: it read that I’ve had brain surgery. Which I’ve never had.
