5 stars are inadequate! Dr Sbayi performed a non-mesh hernia repair on me in March'25. From the beginning the level of explanation and communication was excellent. Surgery went as described and the post operative level of attention and care by the doctor was amazing. He is one of the most compassionate and professional surgeons I've dealt with. A true gem. I'm not sure he is still affiliated with Stony Brook; he's at Northwell now > check those listings.

Dr.Sbayi is one of the kindest,caring, knowledgeable Drs my husband & I have ever met! My husband had an umbilical hernia. He had surgery yesterday with amazing results! Little to no pain,clean line very small incision.Dr Sbayi was able to perform the procedure without mesh using sutures only which is what my husband wanted!
