I'm still fuming about my experience with the hospital in Newport Oregon . My dad was visiting me and had a fall, so we went to the ER. No ID due to a recent theft, and they gave us a hard time about treating him without it. Had to give his SSN to get him seen. It took 5 hours to decide on emergency surgery the next day. Felt dismissed and disrespected during a very difficult time.
I was in the ER for at least 5 hours. The people were professional. Very clean. Took me in right away and took care of me like I was family. It was the nicest ER experience I've ever had and I am 68 years old. For where I was it was actually a great experience .
I recently had to go to the ER while on vacation in Oregon. For privacy reasons, I won’t get into why obviously. But the level of care and attention I received in my brief stay at Samaritan was excellent. I was checked in as soon as I walked through the door. I received all the tests the doctor ordered and was released and on my way within just a couple of hours. Samaritan Pacific ER staff… you guys and gals rock. Thanks for everything.
I came to the ER while feeling dizzy and hungry. After waiting over an hour, I stepped outside briefly to get food from my car. When I returned, I was told I had been removed from the list, even though I never said I was leaving. I had to wait hours again, which was frustrating. I do want to thank David, the nurse assistant, who was kind and professional once I was seen. I’ve shared this feedback with the hospital directly, but I hope future patients are treated with better communication and care.
