The website advertised a rental for $340 for the day and were charged $500 for three hours, when we questioned the charge we were told we were arguing. We also told them there was 11 of us at booking and when we went to board we were told only 10 could go on the boat for insurance reasons. Incredibly deceitful business.
We walked up to rent a boat and we're denied a rental because a group inside the restaurant was misbehaving. We were not associated with them but the manager Julian was mad at them and said the boat rentals were all closed and he didn't want to rent to anyone today. Be prepared he will close the shop if he's bothered by people in the restaurant.
We had a great experience with Sam Smith’s boat rental. Great rates and service. Very responsive to questions. We will definitely rent from them next trip to Cooperstown.
