I've never had a doctor talk directly to me instead of talking to his laptop. I've never had a doctor who called me personally to discuss my blood tests and medicines. He did! He was also very thorough about all of my medical history and went over and looked at every single thing. This is a very thorough and caring doctor, and I was quite impressed on this very first visit.
