Best summertime patio in the bay area! – Sam's Anchor Cafe is an amazing location to spend an afternoon soaking in the weather and the beer or going for late-night drinks.
Great outdoor seating, offensively bad service – After an hour wait for a table, we were looking forward to a terrific lunch. The host sure didn't mirror our enthusiasm though as she threw our menus on the table, rolled her eyes and walked away. We enjoyed our overpriced, mediocre food, while we watched sail boats on the Bay. When we got the bill, I was offended to see that the four soda refills I had drank (I know, I know...I was thirsty!) were billed to me seperatly at $2.50 each! Great place for a tan and a drink – The wait for an outdoor table was an hour, but no wait for a seat by the window. Great people watching, amazing views and the pina colada was strong and tasty. The burger was average, but the fries are to die for. Crab salad sandwich was alright as well. Go for the view, drinks and fries. Don't expect incredible food, or service.
