My latest experience w/ Dr. Cavaleri was pretty abysmal . I have been his patient for4+ years. After complaining of severe chest pains, an inability to lie flat, and fatigue, he was dismissive, arrogant and clearly thought I was dramatic- despite studies from A fine NJ hospital showing problems, he minimized these, and imperiously told me” we are top in the nation for cardiac, IDK how they do their studies”.” I am a cardiologist for20 years”.this went back and forth for MONTHS. Dr. C was very attentive and responsive to my concerns. He is a doctor first, cardiologist second. I highly recommend him as someone who takes care of you heart condition.
Dr. Salvatore G. Cavaleri at NYU Langone is a highly respected, talented and considerate Cardiologist who listens attentively to his Patient's concerns and accordingly treats every Patient with proper professional respect. Very Highly Recommended.
While I appreciate his expertise, I must admit he wasn't the best cardiologist I've encountered. His demeanor came off as somewhat arrogant and sarcastic. Having worked in the hospital environment myself, I expected a higher level of professionalism.
I saw Dr. Cavieleri for a low- blood pressure issue. He was thorough, spent a lot of time w/ us; and made many rec’d. He was also very friendly and accommodating, as was his staff. NYU also a superb facility, I had open- heart surgery there18 months ago. Highly rec’d! The care was incredible!
