The clinic’s director, Ulises Garcia, MD, and the office manager refused to submit a prior authorization to Humana HMO, claiming it would be denied. It is NOT their prerogative—that decision belongs to the insurer. This was a medically necessary continuity-of-care follow-up with an out-of-network ophthalmologist who performed emergency surgery on me. Their refusal blocked proper review and my right to appeal. Very pleased with Dr Garcia, he is very knowledgeable, thorough and very attentive. His staff are also very efficient, which has improved significantly since Dr Garcia arrived at VIP Care.
The staff at this office is quite exceptional. They are always ready to hear your concerns and give you any help you need. They do all this in a respectful, kind and compassionate manner.
Dr Rosario and her team are phenomenal! Definitely know their stuff when it comes to senior citizens. Very very happy with this doctor and team
