Saluda River Audio Stands - Michael DeGeorgis When I first contacted Mr. DeGeorgis, the Owner of Saluda River Audio Stands, he had injured his shoulder and was recovering from shoulder surgery. He said he could not build any stands for me but if I wanted to wait for him to heal he possibly could. He said most people don’t want to wait. I contacted Michael two years later in 2023. My wife and I looked for a new audio rack for our system for some time. We saw pictures of Mike’s work and after calling and discussing our ideas decided to have Mike craft our new audio stands. I sent him some drawings of the sizing that we needed and agreed on wood selection. Mike kept us in the loop with emails and photos of the progress. Mike and his son delivered my stand today and carefully brought it downstairs to my listening room. It is gorgeous. The maple shelves and the walnut legs both have a lot character, which are brought out in the finish. Also included in my order was a turntable platform for my HRX and 2 amp stands for my monoblocs. Mike and I had a lot discussions both before and even after I placed my order. I had a lot of second thoughts along the way and whenever I did Mike was able to discuss my concerns. Michael was great to work with! He is extremely communicative in the planning process to make sure that you get a stand that works for your room and system. While he was building it he kept me updated from the very beginning with wood selection and throughout the entire process of putting it together. The finished product shipped cross country and was packaged very securely. All in all I couldn't recommend Saluda River Audio more! Can't beat the price or quality in comparison to other hi fi racks.
