Firstly, I’m shocked they let anybody go tubing down the river when it’s so low. There were so many stretches where we had to get up and struggled to pull our tubes/children/cooler tube over slippery, jagged rocks. GET A PADDLE. I REPEAT - GET A PADDLE. our float took four hours. We got stuck on slow moving water and could only get out and swim , which made it impossible to get back in the tubes, and we kept getting stuck on rocks/low water. Obviously we can't control nature. But a paddle sure woulda been helpful. And they don't tell you that. Getting a cooler tube was also key to a smooth float because we could take snacks and drinks. Great enthusiastic staff. It’s a pretty float along the river with very few houses or businesses. The staff were professional and kept the whole process running smoothly. However, on this particular day, the river was extremely low and I think they should not have run trips. We had to paddle the entire time, lots of rocks to maneuver over and it just wasn’t the relaxing float I had hoped. I’m 73 and the tubes were not very comfortable.
