On a Monday night, 1/3 of the tables had diners. From the small fresh flower vase, to the simple contemporary furniture, and folksy seaside interior, Saltwater Oyster Depot was a surprise and a delight. I rarely eat oysters, but the broiled oyster appetizer was too delicious to pass up. The three different flavor profiles of the cooked oysters were all delicious. Very nice restaurant, the food is very good, very fresh and tasty. Nice service too. And lovely surroundings also.
Great food, we had the heirloom tomato soup, halibut, and steak. Strawberry shortcake was a little too liquidy - the cream pretty much disintegrated right away and it became soupy. Nice ambiance on the patio, we walked from our cottage rental in Inverness.
