Love that their sample spoons are not single-use plastic ones, but rather metal spoons. And what a cool mechanism to have a slot on the customer side of the counter to deposit used spoons. It's been a while since my last Salt & Straw visit, and I was pleasantly surprised there was a location not too far from me. Pasadena parking nearby consists of parking structures ($1, no longer free, for 90 minutes), metered street parking, or free street parking if you don't mind a walk. Got a couple of ice cream two scoops really good. It’s a small place. They only have a little bit of not really no tables just to walk in ice cream father and you walk out street parking or you can pay for a parking lot old town Pasadena
My girlfriend and I were out and about with two of her friends after catching up with lunch nearby and was looking for dessert nearby. We found that there was a Salt & Straw just around the corner so we decided to check it out! I haven't been to S&S for years but in the past I always loved that they have the most interesting flavors that actually work really well. Shoutout to Andres at Salt & Straw. I actually recognized him from a previous visit at the ice cream shop because he was super helpful then too. Same vibe today—really friendly, easy to talk to, and gave great ice cream recommendations without making it feel forced. Just a genuinely cool guy who clearly cares about people having a good experience.
