Got their marvelous Olive Oil Ice Cream...expect to be wowed and NOT taste any olive oil....more like a highly-elevated vanilla. Gave it a 4 star because there was no PLAIN chocolate. Us "Ice Cream Purists" don't like a bunch of add-ins like "gooey brownies.
I visited Salt & Straw in Pasadena on 09/07/2026, 17:05, and overall, I had a really lovely experience! I tried the limited-edition Hoppy Apple Cider Sorbet and the lavender flavor. I was having a hard time deciding which flavors to sample, but one of the male staff members was incredibly patient and kind. My experience at salt and straw was horrible It was my first time here. For being my first time I would’ve thought I had a better experience. I’ve never had these flavor and of course they had different flavor compared to baskin Robbin so I Ask the lady that was helping me if I could try which I ask for like 3 different flavors. We come try all the new flavors every month and end up getting the same classic flavors we like lol And my all time favorite is olive oil!
Absolutely loooove salt & straw. They have new rotating flavors every month and classic flavors available at all times. The new specials are sometimes kind of out there so they’re a hit or miss each time, but when in doubt - the classic ones are always great! The waffle cones are really good too! I love the free samples on the little silver spoons, sometimes the staff explains the flavors in a lot of detail which is always fun and interesting.
