I really wanted to support Salt & Sea Veterinary Hospital, but my experiences left me uncomfortable with both the pricing and the level of care. Do not let "family-owned" marketing justify overpaying. There are other local, privately owned vets charging a fraction of the price for better care. I had a good experience the first time I took my dachshund mix here. The husband and wife team was communicative and helped out with sand impaction, for a bill total of ~ $1,650, although this cost would have been higher if we chose to leave him overnight for monitoring as was suggested as the precautionary measure, but not necessary and thus ultimately our choice that we did not elect to do. We have been taking our 6-month-old Golden Retriever, Bailey, to Salt & Sea throughout her life and the entire team has been fantastic. They provide excellent care, thorough follow-ups, and always make Bailey feel at home when she is there. The staff is timely in their responses and consistently makes us feel like part of the family whenever we visit.
