Worst service and food I have ever had.... – We stopped into this place around 4ish and it was empty, which should have told us something. It was cramped and the cleanlyness rating was B... Looked it up later they have violations for mice(or rats) roaches and improper use of pesticides to name a few. Anyways to the service... they only serve beverages by the can so get ready to shell out 2 dollars a can for soda. Also they serve it in plastic party cups, 2 of ours had to be sent back because they were cracked. Here come the ... read more

Please note: In early 2012, Sal's Little Italy (previous name: Sal's Pizzeria) moved to a larger, updated restaurant in early 2012. Sal's Little is now upgraded with all amenities and expanded menu. Previous location was more of a pizzeria, not an expanded restaurant. We apologize for the previous dining experience concerns. Sal's Little Italy is now located at 384 Broome Street, between Mulberry and Mott Streets with good reviews.

Worst Service/Food Ever Experienced/Tasted – Going into Sal's Pizzeria, I was dubious about whether or not my friends and I should even try the place. Once inside, our expectations lowered. The place was cramped and shabby. There were weird "sculptures" and the place was extremely cold. We finally got a chance to sit down after waiting for one of the 9 or so tables. I ordered a Pepsi; I received a Sierra Mist. Of course, that has happened before. However, I was appalled when I realized that the cup the waitress gave me was c... read more

Worst Restaurant Service! – My friends were visiting New York for the first time and we heard good and also not so great things about Sal's Restaurant so we visited there. When we got there, the restaurant looked rather shabby and unclean, but we decided to try it anyway. First, we were served drinks in thin, broken plastic party cups. They did not even have glasses and we were quite shocked. AND, later when I went to the restroom, I saw that they were washing the plastic cups for reuse! Next, the pasta was o.k,(overpriced )... read more

small but very cozy italian atmosphere with a friendly itlaian speaking staff. You must try the Margarita pizza and the spaghetti puttanesca that taste like they came right from your grandmothers kitchen. For dessert, ask for a cannoli, they will squeeze the filling in for you right at the table so the connoli taste fresh and not mushy like its been sitting in a fridge all day. A good family spot or romantic dinner location. a must try.

Pretty damn good! – I was surprised by the negative reviews as I've been going here for years. I've never had the pizza but for a tiny little joint, their entrees are pretty damn good. The chicken francese is delicious: sour without going overboard, as is the chicken marsala with its buttery mushrooms. The seafood salad is a crowd pleaser and fresh (proximity to Chinatown doesn't hurt) and the house wine ain't too bad. For a filling and tasty meal at a reasonable price, I recommend it. I have not had the same issues with unp... read more

VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE – I went in there with a bunch of friends and it was pretty crowded. We ordered 2 pizzas and drinks and the guy behind the counter was very rude. He was a heavy set guy with glasses and orange hair/goatee. When our food was ready he told us we couldn't sit at the only table available because his friends were coming. We now had 2 pizzas and drinks and no place to sit. His friends came and he gave them free drinks. They did nothing else other than take our spot and be rude, loud and obnoxious. We asked the g... read more

Terrible Value – The other day, myself and 2 colleagues decided to try Sal's Pizzeria on Broome St in Little Italy. We ordered a pie and two toppings (split in half). What we got was an undercooked, pizza with little or no toppings. To add insult to injury, when we complained that we were charged $4 for toppings that should have only been $2 (as advertised), the proprieter laughed and sarcastically commented that he shoud have charged even more. We were so amazed that we could be ripped off for a measly $2 more. An $11 pizza... read more
