We’ve come to Sal’s a few times since they first opened and tried the vodka burrata pizza a few times which was excellent as long as you get light sauce as it is quite heavy. Garlic knots were better in 2024, recent visits we found them to be a bit too crusty and chewy/hard by the time they cool down. Onto the vodka sauce, i ordered the regular penne a la vodka in 2024 and found it to be a bit watery and lacking depth so i never ordered it again. A friend came for vacation and I live here in the Orlando area but never been at Sal’s yet and he got us pizza from Sal’s and hands down one of the most delicious tasty pizzas I’ve ever eaten I’m from Brooklyn and honestly can say that it threw me back in NY I recommend this place to any one can wait to visit this place myself
I am a New Yorker born and raised... This is the only New York pizza place I've been to that matches not only the taste but the ambience of a genuine NY pizza parlor. The displays, the pizza by the slice, the fast pace, and even the vernacular. When I first arrived in Florida and went to other pizzarias they'd look at me funny when I said I want a large "pie" or a "plain" slice. Floridians say "large cheese pizza". This is the best New York style pizza I have had so far in Central Florida. They also sell Vodka Sauce Pizza which is my absolute favorite. Will be returning and recommending to my friends. We ordered a lot of food, but typically it would be under $20 a person if you split it. We got garlic knots, Half Vodka Sauce/ Pepperoni Red Sauce Pizza, and Rigatoni Alla Vodka.
