My appointment was with Miah. Supposed to be knowledgeable with cutting curly hair. My cut cost $51. Although the next cut would have cost $85. I told her at the beginning I wanted an inch cut off all over (layers). I especially like it a little shorter on the top. I also thought it needed to be thinned out. Did she listen to me? I brought my 10-year-old daughter in for a simple trim — just 3 inches off the length. What followed was a nightmare. The young stylist started lifting random sections of hair upward and cutting them so that when they fell back down, they created a layered cascade effect — except it was completely random, with each new section cut to a different length, like she was figuring it out as she went. Extraordinary customer service. I called them in a panic due to my hairstylist canceling and asked if they could fit me in due to needing new hair for my birthday and they were so accommodating and took me in, for a full foil! They stayed over 2 hours passed closing just to make sure I was taken care of, not to mention my stylist Katie and the owner were so accommodating and comforting, not to mention Katie did an amazing job with my hair! "I had a very disappointing first-time experience at this salon. Despite being 10 minutes late due to traffic, I was proactive and called ahead to notify them. When I arrived, the owner was incredibly rude, cutting me off to claim I never called. It wasn't until I showed my phone logs that she changed her story, admitting they saw the call but 'didn't get a voicemail.' I was never greeted or welcomed upon entering. I absolutely loved getting my hair cut at the Salon Zed by Madelyn. It was so nice to be able to book a quick appointment without waiting weeks. Madelyn was professional, and took the time to answer all my questions about my hair and style. She gave me a perfect haircut, and now that a couple of weeks have passed, I can see how well it’s growing in and how easy it is to style. I truly loved the experience and will definitely be back for my next haircut.
